'“We use our hands diagnostically, perceptually, and therapeutically — that’s how simple and profound this is. We are not listening for symptoms but for a pre-established priority set in motion by the Health of the patient.” Dr James Jealous

My path towards Craniosacral Therapy

When I first came across craniosacral therapy I immediately knew that this was a path I wanted to follow. Here was a healing modality that combines deep listening with full presence, the simplicity and profound power of which deeply inspired me. As a classical musician I have always enjoyed those moments in a concert where listening to the silence within the music takes one to a transcended space. And this kind of compassionate listening combined with a still presence is exactly what gives craniosacral therapy this enormous potential for deep healing.

I went on to train with the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust in London, one of the pioneering schools of this modality. During the second year of training I started giving sessions at their low-cost clinic in London as part of the course, and I saw first-hand how much this therapy can help with a variety of different conditions. These fantastic experiences at that clinic really inspired me to commit fully to this therapy.

I am a member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association, and am committed to further development through CPD courses and exchanges.

I warmly invite you to come and experience the wonderful benefits of this therapy!

Somatic movement classes

I have recently completed my training as a somatic movement educator in the tradition of Thomas Hannah with Brian Ingle and Maya Andersson. This gentle movement practice will help you recognise and release unhelpful holding patterns and habituations in your neuromuscular system. These patterns can build up over time or occur through physical or emotional trauma. Somatic movement can be very effective in addressing these patterns and giving you back ease of movement, better posture, better health and increased wellbeing. Thomas Hannah called this series of exercises ‘the myth of ageing’!

I am offering online somatic movement classes as a way of supporting the craniosacral therapy work. I find the two modalities work beautifully together!
